Seamless Score Submission:
How to Hand in Your Scorecard via GLFR
๐๏ธโ
Playing a great round of golf is a fantastic feeling, but getting that scorecard submitted for handicap regulation shouldn’t feel like hard work. Whether you are chasing a lower handicap or just keeping track of your progress, GLFR makes it incredibly easy to submit your scores directly to your national golf union.
Here is everything you need to know about how it works, depending on where you play.
Denmark (DGU/Golfbox) & Iceland (GSI/Golfbox)
In Denmark and Iceland, the system relies on digital marker verification within GLFR, as the union databases requires us to submit already marker approved scorecards. To ensure your scorecard is successfully transmitted to Golfbox, follow the “Double Swipe” rule:
- Select your marker
Choose your marker from the list. If you started a multiplayer round together in GLFR, your marker is already pre-selected, but can be changed.
- The Double Swipe
- Swipe 1: You must swipe once to sign your own scorecard as the player.
- Swipe 2: You must swipe once to approve your playing partnerโs scorecard as the marker.
- Everyone participates
All up to 4 players must do this on each their own phones. The scorecard is only sent to the union once BOTH the player and the marker have swiped twice in their respective GLFR apps – luckily, swiping only takes a few seconds!
Playing with someone who doesn’t use GLFR? No problem! When you swipe, GLFR will automatically send an email to your marker. Remind them to check their email inbox (and spam folder!) to approve your round. Once they do, your score goes straight to Golfbox.
Sweden (SGF / GIT)
In Sweden, score submission is fast and straightforward, as marker verification is handled automatically through the official GIT system rather than inside GLFR.
- Select your marker
Choose your marker from the list or add the Golf-ID of your maker if they are not pre-selected or using GLFR yet.
- Single Swipe
Simply swipe as the player to submit your scorecard.
- Choose you Tee Time
A scorecard submitted to GIT must have a corresponding Tee Time to be valid. Use the popup to search for and select your Tee Time that matches the round played in GLFR.
- Done
Your scorecard is sent instantly to GIT, your marker is notified and you handicap is updated within a few minutes.
Norway (NGF / GolfBox via the Gimmie app)
For our Norwegian players using the Gimmie app, the submission process leverages the official Golfbox interface directly.
- Tap Submit
Finish your round in Gimmie and tap “Submit.”
- GolfBox integration
Gimmie will open Golfbox directly inside the app and fill in most of the required data.
- Verify and add your marker
Add your playing partner as a marker and check that your scorecard was transferred correctly.
- Finalize
Complete your score submission in Golfbox without ever leaving Gimmie – your marker will be notified to approve your scorecard in Golfbox directly.
Note that only the user logged in on the phone can submit a scorecard to Golfbox i Gimmie – your playing partners must do the same on each their own phones. You can keep score for them on your phone, but actually submitting to Golfbox must be done by each player to conform to the rules of the WHS.
No matter where you play, GLFR has you covered. Update your app, log in, and let us handle the paperwork while you focus on the next birdie putt!
