How Falkenbergs and Gullbringa are Transforming Member Communication in with GLFR
The Challenge: Keeping Members Informed in a Digital Age
Golf clubs thrive on community, but in today’s fast-moving world, keeping members engaged and informed is harder than ever. Relying on emails, social media, or outdated club websites often leads to missed updates, fragmented communication, and frustrated members.
That’s why clubs like Falkenbergs Golfklubb and Gullbringa Golf & Country Club in Sweden have embraced GLFR as their primary communication platform—and the results speak for themselves.
A Seamless News Hub for Members
At Falkenbergs Golfklubb, communication is no longer scattered across multiple channels. By using GLFR’s fully integrated news system, the club ensures that members never miss an important update.
“All News we publish on our website is automatically synchronized with the Club App. This way, our members can always find the most important News with a single tap on their phone,” says Mikael Norman, Club Manager at Falkenbergs Golfklubb.
Beyond major announcements, the club has also embraced daily updates via the GLFR News Feed, allowing them to share everything from course conditions to restaurant specials—right in the app.
“GLFR Club App has undoubtedly strengthened communication in the club and made it easier for us to keep our members informed.”
Streamlining Internal and Member Communication
Meanwhile, Gullbringa Golf & Country Club is among the first clubs to implement GLFR’s new Communities feature, creating dedicated communication spaces for different member groups. While still in the early stages, the club sees huge potential in this new way of organizing internal and member communication.
“With GLFR Communities, we can create specific groups for our different member types and activities. This allows us to send information directly to the people who need it” explains Anna Joelsson Söfting, Club Manager at Gullbringa.
Setting up these communities has been quick and effortless, and the club is already preparing to use them for key member groups. One of the first planned communities is for club volunteers, who will soon be able to coordinate tasks and track upcoming activities—all within the app.
“This will save us time and improved organization significantly.”
Another exciting initiative is a junior golf community, which will provide a dedicated space for juniors and their parents to stay informed about training sessions, tournaments, and club activities.
“It will make it easier for us to engage junior players and create a stronger connection between the club and their families.”
As Gullbringa Golf & Country Club continues to roll out GLFR Communities, they expect it to become a key tool for strengthening club engagement, simplifying communication, and ensuring that every member stays connected.
A More Connected Golf Club
With Push Notifications, seamless Website Integration, and dedicated Communities, clubs like Falkenbergs and Gullbringa are proving that golf club communication doesn’t have to be complicated.
By using a single, club-owned platform, they’re ensuring that important updates reach the right people, at the right time—without the noise of social media or cluttered inboxes.
For clubs looking to improve member engagement and communication, the message is clear: A modern golf club needs a modern communication strategy. And GLFR is leading the way.
